How to add a payment method to your Bókun account
This article explains how to add a payment method to pay for your Bókun account.
How do I add a payment method to my Bókun account?
To add your credit card details:
- click Settings or your username in the bottom left corner
- click Account & Billing.
- click Update payment method.
- Add your credit-card information and click Confirm.
✴️ After you have confirmed, a one time authorization charge in the amount of 1 USD is made for verification purposes. Once verified, the charge is voided.
We recommend you add more than one credit-card as a payment method. Click Advanced to add more than one credit-cards.
Note: Your payment information is processed and stored by Braintree - our PCI certified payment provider. All communication between Bókun and Braintree are encrypted and secure.
How does Bókun charge my card?
Bókun charges in USD. When bookings are made in EUR or any other currency, we convert the subscription and margin (1,5%) to USD using the official bank rate. When we then charge the service fee, we charge the value in USD and the card issuer converts home currency into USD, so any extra fees are dependent on the issuer bank.
