Bókun Pay FAQ (PRO)
Bókun Pay is Bókun's payment solution that's powered by Trust My Travel.

What is Bókun Pay?
Bókun Pay is Bókun's payment solution powered by Trust My Travel. Bókun Pay can be added to your online booking channels allowing you to accept online payments from your customers.
Can I change my base currency?
No. The base currency you choose at the time of sign-up is your permanent base currency and can not be changed.
Can my customers pay in multiple currencies?
In the Bókun online booking engine, your customers can choose their preferred currency to view the prices. The payment will however always be made in the base currency you chose. The Bókun customer invoice will also appear in the original checkout currency.
How do I refund my customers?
You can refund your customers directly in your Trust My Travel account.
How and when do I get paid?
Trust My Travel is the merchant of record for Bókun Pay which means that they are in charge of payouts. You can choose at the time of sign-up if you want to get paid every 7, 14 or 30 days. You can also edit your payout settings in your Trust My Travel account.
How do I pass the Bókun service fee to the traveler using Bókun Pay?
When using Bókun Pay, the Bókun service fee is automatically added to the traveler's total amount. Instead of you paying the 1.5% of your total online booking value for the month, you can pass the 1.5% fee onto the traveler. The fee will then be added on to the prices you've set in your price catalogue, and the traveller will see a price that is your prices and the 1.5% fee.
Example:
Price catalogue price: $100.00 USD
Advertised price: $101.50 USD
Bókun fee: $1.50 USD
You will receive: $100.00 USD
Can I opt out of passing the Bókun service fee to the traveler?
No, when using Bókun Pay the fee is always automatically passed to the traveler.
What are the payment options available for Bókun Pay?
Currently, you can accept full payment at the time of booking using Bókun Pay. Accepting deposits or pay upon arrival isn't currently available. Note that you can't send payment links via Bókun Pay.
Is Bókun the merchant of record?
No, Bókun is not the merchant of record for transactions going through Bókun Pay. Trust My Travel is the merchant of record.
