An affiliate is someone who is reselling your products and you define in your Bókun system. The affiliate is in most cases someone external to Bókun who is selling your products.

To increase your distribution and visibility on websites other than your own, you can create online booking engines and give to someone who you would like to sell your products. This seller could be a Hotel in your area that would like to feature your Horse riding Activity, or an annual music festival who knows that their guest would love to go on an ATV ride during the day. In both cases you can create an online booking engine in your Bókun system, link the booking widget to e.g. the music festival affiliate that you have created, and e-mail the widget code to the music festival who will put the booking engine on their website.

To do this there are three steps you need to complete:

  1. First you need to create your affiliate
  2. Second you create a new booking channel. The booking channel tracks that your bookings are coming from another website, e.g. musicfestival.com
  3. Third is to create the online booking engine and produce the code for it.

The last thing to do is to e-mail the widget code to the affiliate, so they can embed it to their website.

All bookings that come from the affiliate are delivered to your Bókun system and directly linked to your availability. To get an overview of the sales by this particular affiliate and see commission due you have an affiliates sales report under your reports tab.
